Lapel Pins
Currently, FCC is selling Domestic Violence and Woman Pins. The pins were created by a company run by a woman named Lucinda. Lucinda was a homeless woman at one point in her life and it was then that she decided that if she was ever fortunate enough to overcome her situation that she would give back to the community and attempt to assist others in need. Lucinda eventually overcame and began designing wearable art. Today the company has grown tremendously and now the pins are individually designed and handcrafted by stay-at-home-moms. No two pins are exactly alike making them all unique and different.
The proceeds of the pins directly assist others in need. Approximately one half of the $13.00 cost per pin is donated by the company back to the local shelter project, in this case to FCC.

The Domestic Violence Pins® symbolically represent the struggles and hopes of this often hidden problem. The woman silhouette represents the inner conflicts and struggles the woman faces and the child represents the vast number of youths who are affected by this problem. The white picket fence symbolizes the American Dream and the dove and the olive branch represent peace and hope for the future.

The Woman Pins® symbolically represent and show support for many women’s issues and entities including: domestic violence shelters, support groups, women’s business associations, breast cancer awareness groups and a wide variety of other women’s organizations.
