FCC provides educational prevention programming for pre-school through college students. All programs are presented in a non-threatening fashion. The programs consist of class discussion, role-plays, videos, and printed materials. FCCs educational topics are presented according to age and developmental level.
Preschool/Kindergarten:
Happy Bear Program: The Happy Bear Program is designed to teach children about good, bad, and mix-up touch. The program facilitator involves a life sized bear in costume who assists the children in their learning. The program also provides a segment on stranger danger.
Elementary:
Teasing/Bullying Program: The Teasing/Bullying program teaches elementary children to recognize and respond to characteristics of teasing and bullying among their peers.
Junior High/Senior High School:
Dating Violence, Date Rape, Sexual Harassment Programs: These three programs are designed to teach older students about the different types of abuse. The Dating Violence presentation explains the cycle of abuse in dating relationships, the power and control aspects of an abusive relationship, and what to do if you or someone you know is involved in an abusive dating relationship. The Date/Acquaintance Rape presentation discusses the myths surrounding rape, rape prevention information, giving or receiving consent, and what to do if you or someone you know is sexually assaulted by a date or acquaintance. The Sexual Harassment presentation explains what sexual harassment is and what steps can be taken to prevent and end the harassment.

Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Programs:
These programs are formatted to meet the needs of the interested class.
