Volunteer/Internship Opportunities

FCC has many opportunities for volunteers. The following is an overview of some of the services volunteers provide:

  • Crisis Hot Line – Volunteers answer our crisis line on weeknights or weekends from their own homes.
  • Shelter – Volunteers provide shelter monitoring.
  • Support Groups – Volunteers facilitate support groups for both adults and children.
  • Community Outreach – Volunteers hang posters and deliver brochures in our communities.
  • Fund Raising – Volunteers organize and promote various fund-raisers to benefit the agency.
  • Office Duties – Volunteers complete various office duties such as copying, stapling, and typing.

FCC also provides internships for human service related fields of study. Our interns have an interest in increasing their knowledge of domestic violence and sexual assault. When interning with our agency, participants will gain valuable job experience, develop new skills, and build a resume. Interns also make valuable personal and professional contacts within the service community. All interns receive the 3 - 8 hour trainings specific to working with victims and survivors of abuse. Interns provide both direct and indirect services. If you are interested in interviewing for an intern position, please contact our agency.
