Giving Opportunities
SAVING LIVES THROUGH YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS
Since 1982 the Family Crisis Centers of Northwest Iowa, Inc. has been providing crisis intervention, shelter, counseling, and support services to victims of sexual assault and domestic violence and their families. You have the opportunity to empower victims through your generous donations of money, gifts, and time. Here are some ways to get involved:
Melissa's Hope Chest
A store with treasured items for sale: new or gently used furnishings, household items, clothing, quilts, jewelry, and miscellaneous articles. Proceeds are used to offer hope and security to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault by providing resources for Family Crisis Centers of Northwest Iowa.
Year End Giving Campaign
Our campaign is a chance for both long-time donors and new contributors to become a part of a growing network of individuals interested in making a difference and creating change for victims and survivors of violence.
Fundraising Events
Throughout the year, we conduct various fundraisers, including our Golf Tournament, fundraising suppers, and Denim Dollars Days at local businesses and companies.
FCC welcomes any financial or in-kind gifts. If your group or business is interested in hosting a fundraiser, please contact our agency. In the past, some groups have held bakesales, sold items, or collected money with the proceeds going to FCC. Also, some groups have collected food and personal care items or toys that are then donated to the shelter.
Volunteering of time, talents, and resources
Volunteer to answer the Crisis Hot Line from your home, or assist at the Shelter with shelter monitoring. Other volunteer opportunities, such as office work and fundraising, are also available. All direct service volunteers are fully trained and must complete three 8 hour trainings which are provided at FCC.
