Our advocates are here to support you. We want you to know that when you seek support at FCC, you are in the driver’s seat. We will work with you to explore all of your options, but ultimately decisions are yours and we will support you however we can through all of your decisions. Below are some services we provide.


Our advocates are trained to provide support, information, and referrals. They can work on safety planning, help you file a protection order, accompany you to court hearings, medical appointments and more. They are also trained to help you through crisis situations. Advocates can help you explore all of your options so you can make informed decisions. Our advocates can arrange to meet you in a safe location that works best for you. Bilingual services are available.


We want to ensure that you are informed about the help that is available to you. We can connect you with other resources and programs to meet your needs.


We can help you explore and apply for short-term and long-term housing options available to you.

24 Hour Hotline Support

Advocates are available by phone 24 hours a day to provide you with support, crisis intervention, general information and referrals to other resources as needed. You can call 1.800.382.5603 or you can text iowahelp to 20121.

Child Advocacy

We have an advocate that specializes in working with children who have experienced trauma. Meeting can be arranged individually or in a school setting. To learn more about our child advocacy, please click here.
