The Inside Story

Volunteer

Volunteers are one of Family Crisis Centers’ most valuable resources.  There are many opportunities available that vary from short term to on-going.  For those interested in working with victims, all training will be provided at no cost.  Some examples of volunteer opportunities include:

  • Helping with special events & fundraising
  • Office duties and administrative tasks
  • Building maintenance
  • Cleaning and organizing
  • Melissa’s Hope Chest work
  • Mentoring
  • Childcare
  • Language services

How can I become a volunteer?

Volunteers are generally 18 years of age or older, or supervised by an accompanying adult.  All volunteers are required to follow strict rules of confidentiality.  Those who are interested in providing direct service to our clients or their children are asked to fill out a volunteer application and set a time for an interview.

Please contact us at 712.722.4404 or fcc@familycrisiscenters.org if interested in volunteering.
